RotaFilt® at Spildevandstræf – with quaternary treatment on the agenda

On Thursday, Tommy B. Nielsen joined the industry at Spildevandstræf at Næstved Wastewater Treatment Plant, organised by Storstrøms Spildevandsforening.

Once again, we brought the HUBER Pile Cloth Media Filter RotaFilt® to our stand – and this time, we are taking the opportunity to look a little closer at what makes the technology interesting.

RotaFilt® can be used for polishing after biological treatment and as pre-filtration in systems with quaternary treatment. Here, the filter helps provide a high and stable water quality before the water moves on to the subsequent treatment process.

At the same time, the pile cloth filter can be used for phosphorus reduction and the retention of powdered activated carbon. This makes the technology relevant in solutions where several treatment stages need to work together and where filtration plays an important role in the overall process.

These were some of the topics Tommy brought to Næstved – together with the filter medium itself, allowing visitors not only to hear about the technology, but also to see and feel it.
